Legal Counsel

Support the Hong Kong business verticals with legal advice on a broad range of operational and business matters spanning from regulatory, intellectual property, e-commerce, employment, privacy, competition, and technology issues. Advise, draft, and negotiate a wide range of contracts with third parties such as marketing partners, suppliers, and restaurants. Review products, features, and initiatives to provide practical business-driven legal advice while managing legal risk. Be a legal business partner in initiatives that influence all aspects of the business. Detail-oriented, proactive mindset and ability to communicate legal concepts clearly to non-legal colleagues. Collaborate with our legal teams in Berlin HQ and the APAC region to ensure standardization and alignment on legal matters. Support continuous improvement of standard agreements and legal processes. Instruct and manage external advisors and counsel, as necessary. Bachelor’s Degree in Law and called to the Hong Kong solicitor (or equivalent common law jurisdictions). 1 to 4 years PQE, with experience dealing with legal commercial matters at a leading law firm or in-house department at a platform, e-commerce, or internet technology company. Competition, privacy law and regulatory experience is preferred but not mandatory Strong legal knowledge, contract negotiations, writing, and drafting skills. Experience in fast-paced, entrepreneurial, start-up/technology environments with the ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously under tight deadlines and pressure. Excellent communication skills with fluency in English. In addition, the ability to communicate in Cantonese, and/or Mandarin languages would be preferred but not mandatory. Â Great interpersonal, influencing, and stakeholder management skills. Experience navigating stakeholders through highly ambiguous situations. Self-motivated, highly driven, team player, and a self-starter. Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
