Senior commercial leadership role with full P&L accountability across a $175M+ Direct reporting line to the MD with genuine decision-making authority About Our Client A well-established ANZ consumer goods business with a strong portfolio spanning hair care, skincare, beauty and cosmetics. The brands hold solid retail presence across grocery and pharmacy, with a significant product pipeline driving continued growth. This is a business where commercial decisions get made in Australia, not offshore. Job Description Reporting to the Managing Director Australia, you will lead a team of 10+ across grocery, pharmacy and direct-to-consumer channels. This is a hands-on leadership role. You will be expected to be across the numbers, in the market with your team and operating as a genuine commercial partner to the broader business. Key responsibilities include: Drive sales performance across major retailers such as Coles, Woolworths, Big W, Priceline, and Chemist Warehouse Coach and develop the team's commercial capability across trade spend, forecasting and customer P&L Own ranging strategy, trade investment ROI and pricing architecture Build and protect customer relationships across grocery and pharmacy, ensuring the business has direct access at all levels Partner closely with marketing and brand at customer level and operate as an integrated member of the senior leadership team Hold the team accountable by customer, by brand and by month with clear targets and regular performance conversations Develop and drive people decisions where needed and build a sales culture grounded in commercial discipline Manage the D2C channel alongside the major retail accounts and contribute to the broader commercial strategy The Successful Applicant Solid background in consumer packaged goods such as hair care, skincare, beauty, cosmetics or consumer health. This category requires credibility and the ability to hold your own in a competitive retail environment Demonstrated experience, deep relationships selling into Coles, Woolworths, Big W, Priceline and Chemist Warehouse at a senior level with the ability to show mutual benefits. Pharmacy channel experience is essential. Candidates without this will not be considered A genuine track record of building commercial capability in a team, not just managing experienced operators Deep understanding of gross-to-net mechanics, trade investment ROI, ranging strategy and promotional forecasting Comfortable making people decisions, having hard conversations and driving accountability across a team Experience working cross-functionally with marketing, brand and product at a senior level Able to operate in close partnership with a Managing Director and represent the sales function at a leadership level Pure food FMCG backgrounds will not be considered without pharmacy or beauty channel experience What's on Offer If you are an experienced Head of Sales with expertise in the Consumer Packaged Goods such as haircare, pharmacy consumer goods, healthcare, or beauty industry, we encourage you to apply and take the next step in your career.
