Lead legal strategy for complex investment products with exec exposure. Build and guide a senior legal function within a growing business. About Our Client Rapidly growing financial services firm. Job Description Provide legal leadership for the structured investments and annuities businesses, advising on regulatory, commercial, and strategic matters across product development, distribution, and ongoing operations. Serve as a senior adviser to executive leadership and business management on legal risk, regulatory developments, and firm‑wide initiatives impacting structured products and annuities. Lead and manage a team of attorneys supporting structured investments, annuities, and related insurance offerings; oversee the use of external counsel as appropriate. Negotiate and supervise high‑value, complex commercial agreements with product issuers, distribution partners, and institutional counterparties. Work closely with compliance and enterprise risk functions to ensure consistent regulatory alignment and risk management. Contribute to the development and refinement of internal legal processes to enhance efficiency, scalability, and consistency as the business grows. The Successful Applicant At least 10 years of relevant legal experience, including experience at a leading law firm and/or in‑house within a broker‑dealer, asset manager, or financial services or fintech organization. Demonstrated expertise in U.S. securities laws and regulations, including the Securities Act of 1933, the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, and applicable FINRA rules. Exposure to insurance and annuity regulation is preferred but not required. Proven experience negotiating sophisticated commercial agreements with institutional clients and counterparties. Prior experience managing and developing attorneys. Strong judgment, leadership presence, and ability to operate effectively with senior stakeholders. Admission in good standing to a U.S. state bar, with New York admission preferred. What's on Offer Competitive annual salary ranging from $275,000 to $300,000 USD. Attractive cash bonus.
