Terms of Service

Welcome to tailk.me. By accessing or using our service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully before using the platform.
Section 01

Definitions

tailk.me — An AI-powered professional presence platform that allows users to create a personal AI trained on their CV and professional background, accessible via a unique public link.

User — Any natural or legal person who creates an account and uses the services offered by tailk.me.

Profile — The public page associated with a User's unique slug (e.g. tailk.me/yourname), powered by an AI trained on the User's CV and content.

Visitor — Any person who accesses a User's public Profile page and interacts with the AI.

Message — A single exchange (question + AI response) within a conversation on a Profile page. Messages are the unit used to measure service consumption.

CV / Knowledge Base — The content uploaded by the User (CV, text, documents) used to train the Profile AI.

Section 02

Access and Use

Registration: To create a Profile, Users must register by providing truthful, accurate, and complete information. Users agree to keep their information up to date.

Account security: Users are responsible for the security of their credentials and all activity carried out through their account. In case of unauthorized access, Users must promptly notify tailk.me at [email protected].

Permitted use: Users agree to use tailk.me in compliance with applicable laws and third-party rights.

It is strictly prohibited to use tailk.me for:

  • illegal, unlawful, or fraudulent activities
  • uploading false, misleading, or defamatory content
  • impersonating another person or entity
  • distributing offensive, discriminatory, or harassing content
  • unauthorized access attempts or platform tampering
  • abusive automated use of the service
Section 03

How the Service Works

tailk.me allows Users to:

  • upload a CV or professional text to train a personal AI
  • claim a unique public link (tailk.me/yourname)
  • allow Visitors to chat with the AI and learn about the User's background
  • enrich knowledge chunks with images, videos, and links
  • view analytics on conversations and visitor interactions

The quality of AI responses depends on the quality, completeness, and accuracy of the content uploaded by the User. tailk.me does not guarantee that the AI will perfectly represent the User's background in all cases.

Visitors must be registered tailk.me users to interact with a Profile's AI.

Section 04

Plans and Payments

tailk.me offers three subscription plans. All prices are in Euro (€) and VAT-inclusive for consumer Users resident in the EU.

Message limits and AI Job Match: All counters (public-chat messages, generated matches, simulated interviews) are computed per calendar month and reset on the 1st of each month at 00:00 UTC. Unused units do not carry over to the following month.

Billing: Pro and Premium plan subscriptions are billed monthly in advance, starting from the date of subscription. Renewal is automatic until the User cancels. Payments are processed securely via Stripe; tailk.me does not store or directly manage the Users' payment-card data, and only receives the payment token and the subscription identifiers required to manage the subscription.

Accepted payment methods: Credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) and Stripe-supported wallets (Apple Pay, Google Pay) where available. Any FX or currency-conversion fees applied by the issuing bank are at the User's expense.

Trial period / promotions: tailk.me may occasionally offer free trial periods, discounts, promo codes, or other offers. The specific conditions of each offer will be communicated at activation. Once the promotional period ends, the subscription renews automatically at the standard rate.

Cancellation: The User may cancel the Pro or Premium subscription at any time from the dashboard. The cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — until that date, the User retains all features of their plan. No cancellation fee is applied.

Refunds: Subscription fees are non-refundable unless otherwise required by applicable mandatory law. In compliance with EU consumer law (Italian Legislative Decree 21/2014, transposing Directive 2011/83/EU), EU-resident consumer Users have a right of withdrawal within 14 days of the activation of a new subscription, except where they have expressly consented to the immediate start of the service and acknowledged the loss of the right of withdrawal at the time of subscription. For refund requests, contact us at [email protected]: each request will be evaluated case-by-case.

Failed payment: If a payment fails (expired card, insufficient funds, etc.), Stripe automatically retries the charge according to its own dunning policy (typically within 7-14 days). If all retries fail, the subscription is suspended and the account automatically switches to the Free plan; the conditions described in Section 5 (Downgrade Policy) apply.

Price changes: tailk.me reserves the right to modify subscription prices. Users with an active subscription will be notified by email at least 30 days before any price change takes effect. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the new pricing. The User may always cancel the subscription before the new price applies.

Electronic invoicing and tax IDs: tailk.me automatically generates a digital receipt for every payment, accessible from the billing section of the account. For invoicing requests with specific data (Italian VAT number, fiscal code, SDI recipient code, or any equivalent foreign tax identifiers), please contact [email protected].

Section 05

Downgrade Policy

Users may downgrade from a paid plan (Pro or Premium) to the Free plan, or from Premium to Pro, at any time from their dashboard. The downgrade may result from a voluntary choice, a cancellation, or the failed-payment scenario described in Section 4.

Important: When downgrading to the Free plan, the following actions will occur automatically and cannot be undone:
  • all media attachments (images, videos, links) added to knowledge chunks will be permanently deleted
  • all custom modifications made to CV chunks will be removed
  • the knowledge base will be reset to the standard parsed version of the original CV
  • chat history access will be limited to the Free plan quota
  • analytics data will be limited to the Free plan quota
  • AI Job Match counters (remaining matches and interviews of the current month) will be truncated to the Free plan quota; matches and interviews already executed remain available in the User's history

The paid subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period. After that date, the account will automatically switch to the Free plan and the changes described above will take effect.

For a downgrade from Premium to Pro, none of the destructive actions listed above apply: the additional Premium features end at the close of the current billing period, while the rest of the data remains intact.

We recommend exporting or saving any important data before confirming a downgrade to Free.

Section 06

Intellectual Property

Platform rights: All rights relating to the tailk.me software, interface, brand, design, AI models, and infrastructure remain the exclusive property of tailk.me.

User content: Users retain ownership of the content they upload (CV, text, images, links). By uploading content, Users grant tailk.me a limited, non-exclusive license to process, store, and use that content solely to provide the service.

AI-generated responses: Responses generated by the AI are based on the User's uploaded content. tailk.me does not claim ownership of AI-generated responses but does not guarantee their accuracy or completeness.

Users are solely responsible for ensuring that content they upload does not infringe any third-party intellectual property rights.

Section 07

AI Job Match

What AI Job Match is. An optional feature that automatically matches the User's CV against public job postings, simulates interviews between the User's CV (represented by an AI agent) and a virtual recruiter, and produces an indicative score. The feature can be turned on or off from the User's dashboard at any time.

Source of postings. Postings are collected exclusively from public sources, through:

  • official APIs of job-listing providers (Adzuna, Greenhouse Job Board API, Lever Postings API, Personio, Recruitee, Workable, Jooble)
  • public sitemap.xml files of recruiting agencies (Randstad, Michael Page, Page Personnel) and other job aggregators (RemoteOK, WeWorkRemotely, Working Nomads, Jobicy)
  • public content of forums and boards (Reddit, Hacker News "Who is hiring") freely accessible without authentication

tailk.me respects the robots.txt file of the sites consulted, applies polite rate limiting between requests, identifies itself with the User-Agent "TailkBot", and does not bypass authentication, paywalls, or anti-bot protections. Postings from sites that disallow access to anonymous bots are not indexed.

Validity of postings. tailk.me is not the employer or the publisher of the postings. We do not guarantee that any posting is still active, valid, accurate, or available at the time the User reads it. Before applying, the User must verify all details (title, role, location, compensation, requirements) on the original page of the posting, reachable via the "Apply" link.

Match and interview simulation. The match score and the interview score are produced by AI language models (LLMs) and are purely indicative. The score:

  • does NOT guarantee the outcome of an actual selection process in any way
  • does NOT constitute a professional judgment or a binding evaluation
  • is the result of a fictional conversation between AI agents: the real recruiter is not involved in the simulation

Specific limitation of liability. tailk.me is not liable for:

  • postings no longer valid, errors, omissions, or duplicates in the list shown
  • application decisions made on the basis of the score or the simulated chat
  • the behavior of the company, the recruiter, or any third party once the User applies via the external link
  • missing matches that the User considers relevant
  • any loss of professional opportunities
  • differences in tone, content, or accuracy between the simulated interview and any actual interview

Treatment of posting content. Posting metadata (title, company, description, location) remains the property of its respective publisher; tailk.me reproduces it in summary form with a link to the original posting to facilitate consultation, in line with standard web indexing practices and respecting the policies of the sources. Upon a substantiated request from the legitimate owner, any posting can be removed from the public list within 24 working hours: contact [email protected].

Privacy. AI Job Match uses the User's CV exclusively to compute the match and run the interview simulation, within tailk.me's technical infrastructure. No personal data of the User is shared with the posting publishers or with third parties, except when the User voluntarily decides to apply and is redirected to the original URL of the posting.

Opt-out. The User can disable AI Job Match at any time from the dashboard via the dedicated on/off switch. Disabling the feature stops the creation of new matches and new interview simulations; existing matches and simulations remain available in the User's personal history.

Section 08

Limitation of Liability

Disclaimer of warranties: The service is provided "as is," without express or implied warranties, including accuracy, reliability, or fitness for a particular purpose.

Under no circumstances shall tailk.me be liable for:

  • inaccuracies or errors in AI-generated responses
  • indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • loss of data or content caused by technical issues or User actions
  • damages arising from unauthorized access to a User's account
  • improper use of the service or generated content by Users or Visitors
  • temporary unavailability of the service due to maintenance or technical issues

Users remain solely responsible for how their Profile, AI responses, and generated content are used and interpreted by Visitors.

Section 09

Changes to Terms

tailk.me reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be published on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.

For material changes, registered Users will be notified by email at least 14 days before the new Terms take effect. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

If you do not agree with the updated Terms, you may delete your account before the effective date.

Section 10

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by Italian law. Any disputes arising from or related to the use of tailk.me shall fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the Court of Milan, Italy.

If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, you may also benefit from the mandatory consumer protection provisions of your country of residence.
