The Regional Privacy Leader is responsible for leading the Privacy Compliance Risk function across the Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA) and Asia-Pacific (APAC) regions. Reporting to the Chief Privacy Officer (CPO), this role will drive the implementation and ongoing effectiveness of the organization's privacy framework, ensuring compliance with applicable data privacy and artificial intelligence laws and regulations while embedding privacy-by-design principles across business operations. The successful candidate will serve as the regional privacy subject matter expert, partnering closely with cross-functional stakeholders to support privacy governance, risk management, training, regulatory compliance, and strategic privacy initiatives. This role may also provide global privacy support as required. Key Responsibilities Partner with the Chief Privacy Officer to determine and implement the organization's privacy compliance strategy across EMEA and APAC. Serve as the regional subject matter expert on privacy, artificial intelligence and data protection regulations, including GDPR and other applicable laws and inform of developments as appropriate. Provide guidance to business functions and stakeholders on privacy requirements, risk mitigation, and compliance obligations. Lead privacy governance activities, including privacy assessments, controls monitoring, reporting, and compliance oversight. Support privacy incident response, data mapping, and implementation of privacy-by-design principles. Build and maintain a network of Privacy Liaisons to promote privacy awareness and compliance across the organization. Develop and deliver privacy training and awareness initiatives. Support the maintenance of privacy and artificial intelligence policies, procedures, tools, and regulatory compliance activities. Monitor regulatory developments and provide recommendations to address emerging privacy and artificial intelligence risks. Contribute to global privacy initiatives and other compliance projects as assigned. Location Spain, Italy, Hungary or Poland Ideally close to a Vylor site but open to a remote work arrangement Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited university. IAPP Certified Information Privacy Professional/Europe (CIPP/E) certification preferred. Candidates without certification must be willing and able to obtain CIPP/E certification within one year of hire. Minimum 8 years of experience in data privacy, compliance, risk management, or related fields. At least 3 years of experience implementing and managing privacy or compliance programs designed to meet legal and regulatory requirements. Strong knowledge of global data privacy and artificial intelligence laws and regulations, particularly GDPR. Demonstrated experience leading privacy initiatives within multinational organizations. Experience conducting privacy assessments and managing related compliance documentation. Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with cloud computing environments and data technologies. Technical background or experience working closely with information security teams.
