The core responsibilities of the Finance & Strategy community are:

• Strategy & Planning: steers Alan's financial performance through business planning, financial and operational monitoring, investor relations and financing

• Financial Reporting: is the steward of Alan's financial truth, ensuring that we produce accurate, timely financial data. It owns the reporting to all key stakeholders (board, leadership team, tax authorities, and regulators like the ACPR) and ensures that financial data is the single, uncontested source of truth for the company's performance.

• Finance Data and Operations: Build and own the core finance data and tooling infrastructure (models, pipelines, and concepts that connect business operations to financial reality). This is where Finance meets product thinking

• Functional poles with end-to-end ownership of their domain: Treasury, Procurement, M&A

⭐️ YOUR MISSION ⭐️

Alan is in an accelerated growth phase. Alongside our organic growth playbook, we are actively assessing M&A opportunities as a lever to accelerate country entry and/or improve our product offering. We have already executed transactions and have an active and growing pipeline of opportunities.

With M&A activity set to accelerate, we are building the in-house capability to run these processes with the same rigor and speed that defines everything we do at Alan. This is a new, senior individual contributor role created specifically to own the financial dimension of our M&A activity and to drive post-merger integration.

You will work hand-in-hand with the CFO, the Finance & Strategy team, and a broad range of Alan stakeholders. When not on a live deal, you will contribute to Finance reporting and strengthen our internal financial processes.

⭐️ DAY TO DAY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE ⭐️

Financial due diligence

• Own the financial due diligence workstream end-to-end: analyse historical financials, quality of earnings, balance sheet, cash flows, and working capital.

• Identify financial risks, normalise profitability, and produce clear, well-structured outputs.

• Translate DD findings into a revised business plan for the target, including burn profile and post-acquisition capital needs.

• Progressively reduce reliance on external advisors by building robust in-house capability.

Valuation and SPA negotiations

• Translate due diligence findings into valuation outputs (DCF, trading and transaction multiples, earn-out structures).

• Review and challenge financial representations and warranties in the SPA; ensure financial terms are correctly reflected in legal documentation.

Post-merger integration (Finance)

• Own the Finance PMI workstream: plug acquired entities into Alan's reporting, cash management, and compliance infrastructure.

• Define the operating model for the target within the Alan group; ensure financial controls are in place from Day 1.

Finance reporting (between deals)

• Improve and own parts of Alan's financial reporting processes, particularly across international entities.

⭐️ QUALIFICATIONS ⭐️

• Manager in Transaction Services in a top-tier firm (Eight Advisory, Alvarez and Marsal, or Accuracy), ideally including experience in Audit or M&A

• Full French and English fluency

• Proven track record of owning financial due diligence end-to-end, not just contributing to it.

• Deep mastery of financial analysis in a transaction context: quality of earnings, normalized EBITDA, working capital analysis, net debt/cash bridges, building financial models from scratch and stress-testing business plans.

• Project ownership: You define the plan, coordinate legal, tax, commercial, and operational streams, run the weekly cadence with stakeholders, and ensure nothing falls through the cracks under time pressure.

• Structure & communication: You are sued to prioritize, produce high-quality outputs and communicate with clarity and conviction.

• Entrepreneurial mindset: You are comfortable building something from scratch, with limited prior internal playbook.

Nice to have:

• A subsequent stint in an in-house M&A or Corporate Development team is a strong plus.

• IFRS 17 fluency is a meaningful differentiator given the insurance context.

• Foundational exposure to tax analysis in a transaction context.
