Job Description – This role has been updated to reflect the evolving Global Mobility operating model and the increasing importance of mobility as a strategic enabler of talent deployment, workforce planning and business transformation. The revised role strengthens accountability for business partnership, service transformation, operational excellence, compliance, technology modernization and value realization, while driving operational oversight global mobility governance and strategy as set out by the Global Mobility Centre of Excellence (CoE0. The position leads a global mobility organization responsible for executing global mobility operations supporting international assignments, domestic relocations in US markets, cross border moves, immigration and business traveler activity across GSK, while driving simplification, digital transformation and continuous improvement of mobility services. Job Purpose – The Director, Global Mobility People Services is responsible for leading GSK's global mobility delivery/ operations functions and ensuring mobility programs effectively support business priorities, workforce planning and talent strategies while maintaining strong governance, compliance and employee experience. The role provides strategic leadership and expected to provide input to global mobility policy, manage governance, service delivery, immigration, vendor partnerships and operating model transformation. The position partners closely with Global Mobility CoE HR, Reward, Talent, Finance, Tax, Legal and business leadership teams. The role ensures the effective movement of talent globally while balancing employee experience, regulatory requirements, operational efficiency and cost effectiveness. The position leads to a globally distributed team and is accountable for the performance, implementing governance and continuous evolution of mobility services delivered through a combination of internal teams and strategic external partners In addition to the above, the role holder oversees the implementation of global mobility governance, vendor partnerships, technology transformation and continuous improvement initiatives, driving operational excellence, risk management and value creation working very closely with the Global Mobility policy & Governance lead within Reward Coe. Key Responsibilities - Mobility Strategy & Business Partnership • Execute GSK's global mobility strategy in alignment with business priorities, workforce planning and talent objectives. • Partner with HR and business leaders to optimize talent deployment and mobility solutions across global markets. • Provide strategic guidance on mobility implications associated with organizational changes, business expansion, critical talent deployment and workforce plans. • Position mobility as a strategic enabler of growth, capability development and leadership mobility. Global Mobility Governance & Policy • The Global Mobility policy is owned by Coe and the role holder will be responsible for delivery of international assignments, permanent relocations, domestic relocations, immigration and business traveler programs. • Ensure mobility programs remain competitive, compliant and aligned to external market practices through ongoing benchmarking and review. • Lead governance processes relating to policy exceptions, complex employee cases and high-risk mobility decisions. • Maintain effective controls and governance frameworks to ensure compliance with tax, immigration, payroll and regulatory requirements globally. Service Delivery & Operational Excellence • Provide leadership and oversight for the end-to-end mobility lifecycle ensuring high-quality service delivery, operational efficiency and employee experience. • Drive service performance through effective management of operational metrics, controls and continuous improvement initiatives, that demonstrate business value and operational effectiveness • Ensure operational execution is aligned to policy intent, governance requirements and business expectations. • Act as the executive escalation point for significant mobility, compliance and stakeholder issues Vendor & Commercial Leadership • Partner with Reward Coe to ensure vendor selection, engagement and relationship management has strong alignment internally • Lead strategic relationships with key mobility, relocation, immigration, technology and tax partners. • Establish governance frameworks to manage vendor performance, service quality, commercial outcomes and risk management. • Drive optimization of vendor spend and delivery models to improve service outcomes and maximize value. • Lead vendor selection, contract renewal and service transformation initiatives as required. Digital Transformation & Continuous Improvement • Sponsor and lead the Global Mobility Technology Transformation Programme through completion and realization of benefits. • Drive adoption of AI, automation and digital solutions to simplify processes, enhance employee experience and improve operational efficiency across the mobility service model • Identify and implement opportunities to improve scalability, service quality and operational efficiency. • Use data, analytics and insights to support decision making and demonstrate business value delivered through mobility services Leadership & Team Development • Lead and develop a globally distributed mobility team spanning operations, regional mobility management, immigration and mobility advisory services. • Foster a culture of accountability, inclusion, continuous improvement and customer focus. • Build succession, capability and leadership depth across the Global Mobility organization. • Champion employee engagement, development and high performance across the team. Breadth/Scope of Accountability – Team Leadership • Leads a global mobility organization of approximately 22 employees across mobility operations, regional mobility management, immigration and advisory services. • Direct leadership of senior managers and functional leaders across APAC, EMEA, Americas, Operations and Immigration. Business Impact • Accountable for global mobility governance, operational performance and service delivery across GSK. • Supports the movement of employees across multiple markets and business units globally. • Ensures effective management of compliance, tax, immigration and regulatory risks associated with international mobility programs. Vendor Accountability • Owner of strategic mobility partnerships in partnership with Reward Coe including relocation management, immigration providers, tax advisors and global mobility technology platforms. Eg : EY, Equus, K2, immigration providers and other mobility partners Change & Transformation • Sponsor for mobility transformation initiatives, technology modernization and operating model simplification. Experience Required - • Significant experience leading global mobility programs globally distributed teams, within a large multinational organization. • Strong understanding of international mobility, immigration, tax and compliance frameworks. • Experience influencing and partnering with senior business leaders, HRLT members and enterprise stakeholders across multiple geographies • Demonstrated success leading large-scale transformation, process improvement or technology initiatives. • Strong vendor governance and commercial management experience.
