Independent financial institution, wholly owned by private investors The Bank focuses on a mid-market segment, with particular emphasis on cross-bor About Our Client Independent financial institution, wholly owned by private investors Job Description The Corporate Finance Director to be recruited will coordinate with and report to the senior management, and will be responsible for leading and actively managing the origination and execution of Corporate Finance (M&A) mandates in Spain by performing the following functions: - Originate new business opportunities and obtain new M&A mandates. - Proactively identify and establish contacts and access points to mid-market corporations in Spain, C-suite executives and entrepreneurs. - Design, review and present pitchbooks and proposals to potential clients. - Manage and execute M&A mandates, establishing best practice standards in terms of quality, calendar, client service and compliance. - Train and develop the local Madrid-based team. The Successful Applicant The ideal candidate should present the following skills and experience: - 8-12 years of previous experience in investment banking, M&A, consulting or transaction services. - Previous relevant experience in a big 4 consulting firm, investment bank or M&A boutique. - Degree in BA, Economy or Finance; Masters in Finance or MBA will be valued. - Strong commercial, communication and teamwork skills. - Fluency in Spanish and English. - A deep alignment with our core values of integrity, transparency and ethical conduct- What’s on Offer The selected candidate will work closely with the Bank's senior management team and is expected to design, lead and execute an ambitious growth strategy for Corporate Finance in Spain, with ample opportunities to take part and actively contribute to the overall expanding business of the Bank in a key market.
