Job Description As Global Employment & Labor Law Senior Legal Counsel, varied responsibilities include: Provide legal counsel on employment and labor law matters across global jurisdictions. Advise on state, federal and international policies, procedures, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Draft and review employment contracts, policies, and other legal documents. Support internal investigations and provide guidance on employee relations matters. Manage and oversee outside counsel for litigation and employment matters worldwide including the US, LATAM, EMEA and APAC. Collaborate with HR and management to ensure lawful and effective employment practices. Monitor changes in employment and labor laws and advise on potential impacts. Provide training and updates on employment law developments to internal stakeholders. The Successful Applicant The successful Employment & Labor Law Senior Legal Counsel (Global), should have: A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. License to practice law in a relevant jurisdiction. Experience of employment maters across the US including CA. Global employment and labor law experience, including managing outside counsel overseas. Strong knowledge of employment and labor law in multiple jurisdictions. Exceptional communication and negotiation skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively. Proven ability to work collaboratively across departments and regions. The client is unable to offer work sponsorship, candidates must have the right to work in the US now/ indefinitely. This is a hybrid role in Reston, Virginia (VA), candidates must be based within commutable distance or able to relocate to the area.
