Senior Enrolled Agent — Tax Resolution

Enrolled Agent - This is a 100% fully remote opportunity. May be based anywhere in the United States, office hours 9am-5pm PST.  We're a fast-growing tax law firm based in San Francisco, looking for an experienced Enrolled Agent to join our tax resolution team. This is a 100% remote role, open to candidates anywhere in the U.S., working core hours of 9am–5pm PST. You'll work directly alongside our tax attorneys and legal support staff on a high-volume caseload - negotiating with the IRS and state agencies, resolving collections issues, and helping clients get real outcomes on complex tax matters. Compensation: Varies- depending on experience    What You'll Do Contact the IRS and state agencies directly to negotiate payment plans, first-time penalty abatements, non-collectible status, and other resolution options Review client financial documentation to determine the best path to resolution Negotiate installment agreements, partial-pay agreements, offers in compromise, and levy releases on bank accounts and wages Collaborate closely with attorneys and legal support staff on assigned cases, helping manage caseload to meet service deadlines Conduct client calls and meetings to gather documentation and keep cases moving Identify opportunities to expand a client's scope of services and loop in the right internal team What You Bring Active Enrolled Agent (EA) license Active, valid IRS Centralized Authorization File (CAF) number 5+ years of experience negotiating directly with the IRS Tax preparation experience a plus Comfort working independently in a fast-paced, high-volume remote practice Why This Firm Fully remote, work-from-anywhere-in-the-US flexibility Direct collaboration with tax attorneys - real exposure to complex resolution strategy, not siloed casework High-volume caseload means steady, varied work rather than long dry spells 401K with firm match Health Insurance
