JOB DESCRIPTION SAP CO (Controlling) Consultant S/4HANA Migration, Implementation & AMS Support   |   5–7 Years Experience Job Title SAP CO Consultant (S/4HANA) Experience 5 – 7 Years of relevant SAP CO experience Module SAP Controlling (CO) with strong FI integration Focus Area S/4HANA Migration & Implementation + SAP AMS / SLA-Based Support Employment Type Full-Time / Contract Location [Hybrid / Remote/India   Role Summary We are seeking an experienced SAP CO Consultant with 5–7 years of hands-on expertise in SAP Controlling and proven experience in S/4HANA migration and implementation projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, configuring, and supporting the Controlling module, driving end-to-end implementation cycles, and ensuring a smooth transition from SAP ECC to S/4HANA. In addition, the candidate will provide SAP AMS (Application Management Services) support, handling Incidents, Service Requests, and Change Requests within defined SLAs. The role demands strong functional knowledge, close collaboration with cross-functional teams, and the ability to translate business requirements into effective SAP solutions. Key Responsibilities •    Lead and support end-to-end S/4HANA implementation and migration projects (Greenfield, Brownfield, and selective data transition approaches) for the CO module. •    Gather, analyze, and document business requirements and translate them into functional specifications and SAP CO configurations. •    Configure and customize core CO sub-modules including Cost Element Accounting, Cost Center Accounting (CCA), Internal Orders, Profit Center Accounting (PCA), Product Costing (CO-PC), and Profitability Analysis (CO-PA) . •    Implement and support Account-Based and Costing-Based COPA , leveraging the S/4HANA Universal Journal (ACDOCA) and margin analysis. •    Drive integration of CO with FI, MM, SD, and PP modules to ensure seamless cross-module data flow. •    Perform system configuration, unit testing, integration testing, and support UAT (User Acceptance Testing) . •    Execute data migration activities, validation, and reconciliation during the S/4HANA conversion. •    Prepare functional design documents, configuration documents, test scripts, and end-user training material. •    Provide cutover support, hypercare, and post-go-live production support , resolving incidents and change requests. •    Collaborate with business stakeholders, ABAP developers, and technical teams to deliver custom developments (RICEFW). •    Analyze and remediate the impact of S/4HANA simplification items on existing CO processes. •    Provide SAP AMS (Application Management Services) support by managing Incidents, Service Requests (SR), and Change Requests (CR) within agreed SLA timelines. •    Perform root cause analysis, troubleshooting, and permanent problem resolution for CO-related production issues. •    Handle ticket prioritization, categorization, and escalation in line with ITIL-based incident, problem, and change management processes. Required Skills & Qualifications •    5–7 years of relevant hands-on experience as an SAP CO functional consultant. •    Minimum of 1–2 full lifecycle S/4HANA implementation or migration projects. •    Strong configuration expertise across CCA, Internal Orders, PCA, Product Costing, and COPA ,Material Ledger, Actual costing. •    Solid understanding of the Universal Journal (ACDOCA) , Material Ledger (mandatory in S/4HANA), and New Asset Accounting. •    Good knowledge of CO-FI integration , month-end and period-end closing activities, allocations, assessments, and settlements. •    Experience with SAP Activate methodology and Agile/Waterfall delivery models. •    Proven experience in SAP AMS / Support projects delivering SLA-based support for Incidents, Service Requests, and Change Requests. •    Working knowledge of ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, and Change Management) and ticketing tools such as ServiceNow / SAP Solution Manager / Remedy / JIRA . •    Hands-on experience in requirement gathering, gap analysis, blueprinting, and Fit-to-Standard workshops. •    Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. •    Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Engineering, or a related field. Good to Have •    SAP CO / S/4HANA certification. •    Exposure to SAP Central Finance (cFIN) or Group Reporting. •    Experience with SAP Fiori apps relevant to Controlling. •    Understanding of ABAP debugging to coordinate with technical teams. •    Prior experience in a global rollout or multi-country template project.
