Why You Belong Here As a Data Migration Engineer at Cresteo, you'll be more than just a developer; you will be part of transforming the tech industry through our honest, transparent, and people-centric approach. What We're Looking For Deep, hands-on TSQL: complex queries, stored procedures, and functions (not ORM-generated SQL). Proven data migration / ETL experience, especially against legacy or poorly documented source schemas. Ability to reverse-engineer and document undocumented legacy databases. Query performance tuning through execution plan analysis and indexing strategy. Design of incremental, idempotent, re-runnable migration processes. Transaction handling and concurrency control (locking, isolation levels). Data validation and consistency: reconciliation scripts (source vs. target counts, checksums) and a sharp analyst eye for numbers that don't add up. Performance testing under real production volume. Special data types in SQL Server: temporal tables and JSON. Familiarity with jobs/schedulers (SQL Server Agent) or other orchestrators to automate migrations. Experience designing incremental pipelines at scale. Clear and concise communication skills, both written and verbal, to support documentation, issue reporting, and cross-team collaboration. Advanced English level SQL  Server  engineer  who  owns  data  migrations  end  to  end:  from legacy  schemas  to  reconciled,  production-ready  data.
