The role

We're looking for a Vertical Video Producer to own GetYourGuide's vertical video production. You'll shape the strategy, establish the formats, and set the creative bar across Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.

This is a hands-on, editorially-driven role, building a social-first content engine grounded in great storytelling, cultural fluency, and a genuine understanding of how people consume short-form video today. You'll sit within the Editorial & Social Strategy team in Brand Marketing and work closely with social, editorial, and creative leads to produce content that's native to each platform.

You bring strong creative instincts, a point of view on what great vertical video looks like, and a wide network of video talent you can tap into when you need to scale up.

The role requires to be based in Berlin (with regular travel across Europe)

Your mission

• Build the vertical video strategy — define GetYourGuide's look, feel, and content formats across IG Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts; establish what we stand for and how we show up on each platform.
• Own end-to-end production — from idea through to published content; concept, plan, shoot, edit, and deliver short-form video content at pace and to a high standard.
• Drive creative ideation — bring a consistent pipeline of content ideas rooted in platform trends, storytelling instincts, and a deep understanding of travel culture and the GetYourGuide audience.
• Establish repeatable formats — develop scalable content frameworks and templates that allow for always-on output without sacrificing originality or quality.
• Tap into your network — bring in the right freelance videographers, editors, and creative talent when productions require it; manage those relationships and maintain quality standards across the board.
• Stay ahead of the curve — monitor platform developments, emerging formats, and creator trends across TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube; translate what's relevant into content opportunities for GYG.
• Collaborate cross-functionally — work closely with the broader social, editorial, and brand teams to align vertical video with wider campaign moments, editorial priorities, and brand storytelling.
• Contribute to planning — feed into the editorial calendar and team planning cycles with a clear 3-month view of content hypotheses, formats to test, and opportunities to pursue.

Your toolkit

• 5 years of experience in social video production and content creation, ideally with time spent in-house at a consumer brand, media company, or editorial team.
• A strong vertical video portfolio — you can point to work across TikTok, Reels, or YouTube Shorts that demonstrates both creative range and platform fluency. We want to see formats you've built, not just executions you've contributed to.
• Storytelling first — you have a sharp instinct for what resonates and understand how to build an emotional connection to an audience through storytelling.
• Full production capability — comfortable operating camera equipment, directing talent on-location, and editing short-form content.
• Hands on editing proficiency — experience using editing tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro to enable collaboration with creative teams across the company.
• Platform-native thinking — you know what works on TikTok vs. Reels vs. Shorts, and you can articulate why. You understand pacing, hooks, captions, sound, and the nuances between platforms.
• A wide creative network — you have established relationships with freelance videographers, editors, motion designers, and on-screen talent you can mobilise when needed.
• Organised and proactive — you manage your own pipeline, flag blockers early, and keep content moving without needing to be chased.
• Location production experience — you're comfortable producing shoots in cities across Europe (Rome, Paris, London etc), handling logistics, local talent, permits, etc.
• Excellent written and spoken English — additional languages are a genuine plus, especially German, French, Spanish, or Italian.
• Curiosity about AI tools — you're open to using AI-enabled tools to improve production speed, ideation, or workflow efficiency where relevant.
