Reliability Engineer Houston, TX The actual location of this job is in Houston, TX, US. Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates and their families, if needed. This is a fully site‑based role. Working together in person supports close, real‑time collaboration and the technical precision needed to manufacture medicines to the highest quality and safety standards. What you will get: A dynamic and collaborative work environment Opportunities to grow your engineering career in a global organization Competitive compensation and performance-based rewards Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage Exposure to advanced pharmaceutical manufacturing technologies The opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patient lives What you will do: Analyze equipment performance to identify failure trends and opportunities for improvement Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and apply tools such as FMEA and RCM Develop and optimize preventive and predictive maintenance strategies Partner with maintenance and operations teams to improve equipment uptime Track and report key reliability metrics such as MTBF and MTTR Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system performance Ensure compliance with GMP, FDA, and safety standards What we are looking for: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, or a related field 3-5 years of experience in reliability engineering, maintenance, or manufacturing environments Knowledge of GMP/cGMP principles and regulated industry practices Familiarity with reliability tools such as FMEA, RCA, RCM, or TPM Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team Strong communication skills and attention to detail About Lonza At Lonza, our people are our greatest strength.
