HelloFresh Group is looking for a Lead Copywriter to join our Creative Studio and help drive copy quality across our demand generation engine. You'll work across the full funnel and across every channel that matters (TV, OOH, paid social, display, CRM, YouTube) with a particular focus on mid-funnel, paid social creative that stops thumbs and starts conversations.

This is a hands-on writing role, creating everything from campaign headlines to push notifications, from social hooks to CRM journeys. You'll also bring the strategic thinking to help shape how eight global brands communicate across sixteen markets, and the collaborative instinct to consult with local teams, advise channel owners, and help more junior staffers write better.

Crucially, you will help build, train, and socialize AI tools (particularly on Claude and Gemini) to create and maintain  a broad creative toolkit. You will use these tools to generate, iterate, and localize content, but you will be the creative brain behind all LLM work.

This position is based in Berlin or Warsaw. Berlin-based employees have required attendance three days per week (Monday to Wednesday) at our Creative Studio in Moabit.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Write sharp, on-brand copy across the full funnel and all major channels (paid social, display, CRM, YouTube, TV, and OOH), with a particular emphasis on mid-funnel paid social creative.
• Bring big-picture strategic thinking to campaign briefs and creative concepts, while staying just as comfortable writing a single subject line or a two-second video hook.
• Consult with local market copywriting teams across sixteen markets, offering guidance, feedback, and creative direction that keeps their work on-brand and high-quality.
• Use AI tools (especially Claude and Gemini) as part of your creative workflow: for ideation, iteration, and developing prompt frameworks and localization pipelines that improve quality and efficiency at scale.
• Advise channel owners and marketing stakeholders on copy strategy, messaging hierarchy, and how to make creative work harder at every touchpoint.
• Help shape, evolve, and maintain tone of voice and messaging guidelines across eight brands, ensuring they’re clear and practical enough to use at local and global levels.
• Partner with designers, videographers, motion designers, and performance marketers to bring creative ideas to life and optimize them for conversion.
• Interpret performance data to understand what's working, and use those insights to improve briefs, iterate on copy, and sharpen your craft.
• Rigorously proofread copy. Zero typos, zero grammatical errors, no exceptions.
• Manage content flows via Google Suite, Airtable, and Jira so copy moves efficiently from brief to stakeholders to market.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• A full-time copywriter based in, or willing to relocate to, Berlin or Warsaw.
• BS/MS from a top-tier university in Communications, Marketing, Creative Writing, or a related field.
• 8+ years of copywriting or communications experience, ideally spanning both agency and in-house environments.
• A proven track record of high-impact, English-language copy across major digital channels, especially paid social, display, CRM, email, and YouTube.
• A strategic thinker who can see the big picture across brands and markets, but who is equally happy polishing a push notification or reworking a subject line.
• An experienced AI worker, using LLMs as part of a creative process to generate, refine, and localize copy more effectively.
• A natural collaborator who can consult with and advise local teams and channel owners—someone who leads through the quality of their thinking.
• Comfortable working within brand and tone guidelines, and experienced enough to know when to push the boundaries.
• Ability to write across multiple projects, brands, markets, and tones simultaneously.
• A curiosity about audiences and the ability to interpret performance data to refine copy strategy.
• Experience with localization and machine translation workflows is a plus.
• Agency experience, particularly at a social media-focused or digital agency, is a plus.
• Experience working for food or tech brands is a plus.
• Knowledge of German, French, Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, or Dutch is a plus.
