This position is 100% onsite and cannot accommodate telecommute work. SYNOPTICS is seeking a high-energy professional with a strong mechanical background to support project management and execution within a small facilities team responsible for maintaining the site infrastructure and its manufacturing equipment. This role requires excellent interpersonal skills, given the extensive interaction with contractors and internal stakeholders. In this job, you will: Project planning, budgeting, contract management, and overseeing project execution Strong technical knowledge of building systems and project management skills Collaborate with various stakeholders, from department engineers, managers, and contractors to regulatory bodies Routine involvement and influence with site maintenance Project Management: Lead projects from concept to completion, including scope definition, budget, schedule management, and contractor oversight Design & Engineering: Oversee the design and installation of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems and other building infrastructure. Maintenance & Operations: Influence preventative maintenance programs and repair activities to ensure building systems are operational and safe. Compliance: partner with EHS on all facilities and projects to adhere to local, state, and federal health, safety, and environmental regulations. Stakeholder Communication: Act as a central point of contact, collaborating with internal teams, external consultants, contractors, and vendors. Budgeting & Cost Control: Assist in budget planning, monitor project costs, and manage contract finances to ensure projects stay within budget. Basic Qualifications Education: Bachelors of Science Degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or related STEM field with 2 years of relevant experience; Masters of Science Degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or related STEM field with 0 years of relevant experience. No clearance required to start Hands-On Mechanical Work: Experience working directly with mechanical equipment (e.g., motors, pumps, fans), including troubleshooting, replacing components, and supporting maintenance or repairs Project Management: Experience supporting or managing technical projects, including tasks such as budgeting, scheduling, coordination of resources, and vendor communication. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
