Commercial & Operation Analyst - New Vertical

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Commercial Operations Specialist based in Milan to support the execution of the commercial strategy for Deliveroo’s New Verticals business in Italy.

You will translate commercial priorities into clear actions, coordinate cross-functional initiatives and develop processes that enable consistent execution and support business growth.

This is an individual-contributor role for someone who combines analytical skills with a practical and structured approach, and who is comfortable bringing clarity to complex topics and working with multiple stakeholders.

What You'll Be Doing

• Build reporting and analyses to monitor business performance, identify gaps and opportunities, and provide the insights needed to guide business decisions.

• Translate commercial priorities in structured plans and performance frameworks that support execution.

• Develop and improve the tools, processes and data routines that enable commercial teams to operate effectively and consistently.

• Coordinate the operational delivery of cross-functional initiatives, tracking execution, budgets and business impact.

Requirements

• Strong analytical skills and confidence working with large datasets. Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills are essential, while SQL and business-intelligence tools are a strong advantage.

• Familiarity with leveraging AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT/Claude) to speed up data transformation, automate routines, and extract fast insights.

• An innovative mindset with a passion for integrating emerging AI-driven tools into daily operational workflows.

• Experience in Commercial Operations, Sales Operations, Business Operations, Strategy & Operations, consulting or a similarly analytical and execution-focused role, combined with strong commercial judgement and a solid understanding of growth drivers and unit economics.

• Ability to translate complex data into clear dashboards, actionable insights and compelling presentations for both operational teams and senior stakeholders.

• A hands-on and detail-oriented approach, combined with the ability to understand the broader business question, prioritise high-impact work and operate autonomously in a fast-moving environment.

• Fluency in Italian and English.

Compensation

• National Collective Agreement (CBA): CCNL Commercio e Terziario

• Classification Level: Livello 3

The total target compensation for this role is €35.000 – €45,000 gross per year. The successful candidate's starting pay will fall within the pay range listed above and is determined based on a number of job-related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions.

This position is not eligible for consideration for an equity/RSU grant.
