Who is STAT?   At STAT, we're building a people-first culture grounded in trust, transparency, and shared success. We're collaborative, data-driven, and never satisfied with the status quo. We evolve because our people and our customers push us to. We are a leading, technology-enabled revenue recovery platform helping retail suppliers maximize recoveries and reduce unwarranted deductions from major retailers including Amazon, Target, and Walmart. Through proprietary software, automation, and deep industry expertise, STAT delivers industry-leading recovery rates while minimizing operational burden for customers. Our team is the best of the best, individual contributors and leaders operating together as one. We're proud of our inclusive, positive, and collaborative culture, and we believe every team member brings something uniquely valuable to the table. We prioritize getting together in person, through functional team gatherings and by taking the time to celebrate our team members' big moments: anniversaries, birthdays, and personal wins. About the Role   Reporting to the VP of Operations, the Business Insights Lead combines senior analyst depth with enterprise-level client experience. This role defines what data-driven insight, prevention, detection, and recovery look like for STAT's largest clients, turning transaction, deduction, and recovery data into a clear picture of where value is being lost and how to get it back. It also carries a proactive recovery mandate: finding and pursuing dollars owed to existing clients that fall outside our normal course of business, so we close gaps against budget on the accounts we already serve. This is a builder role with strong technical fluency, blending individual analytical contributions with a client-facing, consultative presence across Protect, Recover, and Optimize. What You’ll Do:  Translate complex retailer and supplier data into a clear view of hidden leakage, root causes, and recoverable value. Partner with STAT's largest clients to define best-in-class data insight across prevention, detection, and recovery. Build the analytical framework that flags deductions and revenue leakage earlier, surfacing actionable patterns for clients and internal teams. Establish repeatable methods to validate that insights are accurate, useful, and adopted. Identify recoverable dollars beyond standard audit scope on existing clients, quantifying the opportunity and pursuing it to close gaps against client budget. Turn large, imperfect datasets into executive-ready insight and reporting for clients and leadership. Embed insights into decisions, workflows, and client experiences—not standalone analysis. Partner with audit, operations, and account teams to turn insights into recovery actions and process improvements. Help shape Business Insights into a scalable capability and potential recurring-revenue offering. Occasional travel required Who You Are:   5+ years in data analysis, analytics, or insights roles, ideally in retail, consumer products, or a recovery/audit environment. Experience working directly with enterprise or strategic clients, comfortable presenting to senior stakeholders. Strong technical fluency: SQL and/or BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar) and advanced Excel, with the ability to work across structured and unstructured data. A track record of translating fragmented data into measurable dollars: finding leakage, quantifying the opportunity, and driving recovery or process change. Ability to translate between executive, commercial, operational, and technical audiences. Bonus Points: Working knowledge of retailer deduction, chargeback, and recovery dynamics (Walmart, Amazon, Target, and others). Experience validating and commercializing data, analytics, or AI-enabled products and services. Experience operating in a high-growth, entrepreneurial, or sponsor-backed environment. Benefits 401(k) with an 8% employer match Employer-paid health, dental, and vision coverage for you and your dependents Employer-paid Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, and Basic Life Flexible vacation policy Paid Parental Leave Opportunity to travel for company-wide and functional team gatherings Flexibility to work where you do your best work EEO Statement We are committed to hiring the best people for the job, regardless of race, religion, national origin, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status. In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification document form upon hire.  Notice of E-Verify Participation Right to Work
