Job Description We are currently hiring adjunct faculty to teach SPAC 310- Human Factors in Space. Course Description Basic principles of aerospace human factors with an emphasis on human factors issues with living and working in space. Research, principles and methods that are essential in optimizing the interaction between people and machine elements of aerospace systems. Please note that ERAU policy requires that all adjuncts be physically located within the United States while working for the University, including during training. Presently, we are able to support work for new adjuncts from all U.S. states except California . ERAU does not support work from international locations with some limited exceptions for individuals who are residing and working from U.S. military bases. If selected for this role, the candidate will be required to provide proof of stated qualifications. This includes, but is not limited to, official transcripts, copies of professional licenses/certifications, documentation of military experience, and/or verified professional industry related experience. Applicable Professional Certification Rated/certified military operations officer or civil equivalent for to Psychology, Human Factors, Space Operations (manned flight), or Physiology or any professional certification related to human factors/interaction within the space domain. Qualifications Applicant Qualifications Doctor’s or Master’s degree in teaching discipline, or a Masters’s degree with a concentration in teaching discipline (minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching discipline). Desired Professional Training or Experience Experience at a Military / Civilian organization related to Psychology, Human Factors, Space Operations (manned flight), or Physiology. Degrees Within the Teaching Discipline Aerospace, Aeronautical, Aviation (with experience in discipline) Physiology, Human, Flight, Aerospace Ergonomics, Physical, Cognitive Human Factors (Psychology), Engineering, Management Engineering Aerospace, Systems, Safety, Biomechanical, Biomedical Health & Safety, Occupational, Environmental Safety, Industrial/Occupational/Management/Science Medical/Medicine/Aeromedical Space Operations Other - With documented experience
